Flipping eck!

I seem to have been away and forgot about blogging for a while now, sorry but that's life sometimes. I get so caught up in day to day life I forget about the things I enjoy and get bogged down in work :(

I've got quite a few crochet projects on the go at the moment, too many I think, I seem to always be flipping from one project to another never getting things completed before I start the next....I picked up my bedspread throw over the weekend and re discovered that I really love this project it's so pretty and I can't wait to have it all finshed and on the bed.

It's made with an Aran acrylic bought cheaply but that's the budget I have and it will serve it's purpose well. I've completed all the inner cream circles.......

all 120 of them and currently have 40 completed squares so nearly a third of the way through.

I'm also working on a crochet bag in the same motif but using a lovely denim blue cotton I managed to buy cheaply on Ebay, the problem here is I keep changing my mind on what bag pattern to use....I'm becoming really indecisive, which is not a good atribute :( The first pattern from Drop Designs uses 13 squares, but I think the bag will come out too small for my intended puropse so I'm flicking fom one design to another never sure were I'm going with it. I think I've decided to make up as many squares as I can with the yarn I have leaving one ball for stitching up and a strap. I'm getting 4 motifs from one ball and have 9 balls of yarn so that makes 32 squares in total plus one left.......so a bag of 16 motifs each side? Sounds ok to me.

I've finally started my ripple blanket, I'm four rows in (2 stripes) though this has been put on hold as the weather perked up and it's too warm to have a blankie draped across my legs...

though it's nowhere near that size yet....I'm also worried about my colours, everybody's ripple is so lovely with the colours working wonderfully together that  I worry mine will just look flat and lifeless and just not work...I'm scared to make a mistake and have to frog it all .....indecision again :(

I found some lovely Hadfield yarn in a charity store a fortnight ago (£1.50 for 3 balls!) so this has been allocated to become a scarf for the Winter. I've completed one pattern repeat to see how the yarn works. I love the subtle fleck in the yarn and want it to be visable in the finished article......

another project started!

Is anybody else like this? So many projects on the go never seaming to complete anything. As I work on one project I'm flipping through  the patterns on Ravelry looking for what's next. I bought a beautiful Summer dress on the weekend, but need a little shrug or bolero to cover the tops of my arms (strappy doesn't work for me, must hide those batwings!) so I guess this will be my next started project....
